The Department of Non-invasive Cardiology is a new unit created by the decision of the Senate of the Medical University of Lodz of 30 May 2017. The Department is allocated in the Department of Internal Diseases and Cardiology of the Military and Medical Faculty.
The scientific and clinical interests of the Department’s team focus on the problems of contemporary cardiology as well as on modern diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
The Department of Non-invasive Cardiology is a scientific and didactic unit. The team of the Department conducts clinical classes in the field of cardiology for 6th year students of Military and Medical Faculty and classes for students of 4-year MD and 6-year MD program studies in English.
Professor Malgorzata Lelonek manages scientific research projects which focus on the areaof heart failure, atrial fibrillation, lipid disorders and heart defects. The results of studies are published in journals with high impact factor.
PhD studies are performed in the Department. Moreover, the Department runs Students’ Science Club (SSC). Students who participate in SSC and those pursuing the Individual Study Program under the supervision of Professor Malgorzata Lelonek have received numerous awards and prizes in the
Cardiologic Session at SSC Conferences. We also offer cooperation in joint multicentre projects as well as posts for individual investigators within the framework of PhD studies or external grants.
